It's been a busy summer. We've been able to give fresh, ethically grown produce to individuals and families in need while simultaneously growing support within our community through our outreach and volunteer opportunities. Rachel and I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many amazing people and families who have love in their hearts; supporting and sharing our vision for a better, more sustainable future, where love is the law and food is the draw!
Giving Rather than Selling Berries
Initially, we had planned to repeat "pick-your-own" berry sales over the course of the summer, but God went to work on our hearts and minds and offered a different pick-your-own experience: pick-your-own and donate-your-others. People who were inspired by love volunteered to share in fellowship by picking our berry garden clean every few days for charity. Here are the highlights https://youtu.be/G1cG5IpDppw
Handy and Tech-savvy Volunteers Needed
Our greenhouse structure is complete but there is still lots of work to be done. We've designed a state of the art aquaponic grow space/learning centre but need some help assembling and installing the different components. No special training or skills are required but some basic knowledge of tools, a good work ethic, and transportation to the greenhouse are expected.
We're also looking for some tech-savvy individuals who have experience and expertise in building a website. While we aren't completely stuck under a rock, Rachel and I really don't shine in this area.
